Troop 245 is a large troop of 47 scouts and 24 adult leaders. The troop was started in November of 1993 with a total of 5 boys, Senior Patrol Leader Spencer Hawkins, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Alex Nogueiras, Jr., Patrol Leader Scott Fontan, Assistant Patrol Leader Grant Hawkins and Scout George Beswick, and 4 adult leaders, Scoutmaster Jerry Hawkins, Assistant Scoutmasters Alex Nogueiras, Sr., Kipp Fontan, and Larry Beswick. We held meetings in the art room of Sandpiper Elementary School. Over the years we have had many growth spurts which has brought us to the large number of scouts which we have today. We now meet in the cafetiria of Sandpiper Elementary on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. We go on a campout every 6 weeks to several different camps in our area. We encourage scouts to advance and most importantly to have fun! |
